McDermott Pool Cue C6 Vintage 1980-'84, great condition, with hard lockable case

Vintage C6 McDermott Pool Cue. Shaft is 28, 12-13 mm tip, 4.4 ounces. Total cue length is 58.5 and weighs roughly 20.7 ounces. Overall the cue is in wonderful condition. This is a highly collectible and highly playable cue. Hard case, lockable with key, slot for 2nd shaft, and closed/hidden compartment. Triangle King of Them All Chalk (3).

McDermott Pool Cue C6 Rare Vintage 1980-'84 2 Shafts Leather Wrap Straight

Rare C6 McDermott Pool Cue 2 Shafts Leather Wrap Early’80s Brazilian Rosewood Rolls Straight. C-6 special ordered with a leather wrap and extra shaft. The majority of C6s will have a nylon wrap. 1 shaft is 28, 10mm tip, 3.5 ounces. (I was able to hit power shots just fine on a pool table)Works well for snooker or blackball. It has more patina than the other shaft. 2nd shaft is 29, 12mm tip, 3.2 ounces. Both shafts are typical C-series high quality maple. C cues play as well or better than D series. Forearm is nicely figured Birdseye Maple with Brazilian Rosewood spliced points and black, orange, blonde veneers. (McDermott archive says they used Indian Rosewood but they also published an article in’94 stating they used Brazilian). Leather wrap upgrade is nice soft cowhide. It is fully broken in. The base of it is slightly deformed. This cue was heavily used. It has many minor dings from honest use. The sleeve has two dings that are more than minor but nothing major. A hairline crack next to the logo. It looks like a scratch and does not affect performance. Overall the cue is in fine condition considering it was used a lot. The weight bolt is stripped out completely. It would need special tools to remove. This is a highly collectible and highly playable cue. Highly used, good condition but the patina is mostly dirt.
