ROSEWOOD POINTS & SLEEVE. This is a McDermott C-6 pool cue made in the period of 1980 to 1984. The McDermott C and D series cues are some of the most highly sought after cues today. In 1980, McDermott launced the C Series. The C Series consisted of 21 models all displaying beautiful hardwoods, elaborate sleeve designs and intricate inlays. The cues featured nylon wraps standard; leather, cork and Irish linen was available as an option. These cues were widely known for their artistry and superb craftsmanship. On this particular cue, McDermott used Rosewood in the points and sleeve and a Birdseye Maple forearm. The Rosewood sleeve in this particular cue is highly figured and has a beautiful grain. The Birdseye Maple has lots of eyes and character. The Rosewood points are outlined with three veneers of black, orange and Maple, which really sets off the forearm. Rosewood Sleeve & Points. Total Length: 58 1/8 Butt: 29 1/8 not including bumper Shaft: 29 not including tip. Weight: 18/7 oz Butt: 15.0 oz Shaft: 3.7 oz. Shaft Tip Diameter: 13mm. 3/8-10 Wood to Wood Joint. Since 1975, McDermott has consistently raised the industry standard for what billiard players expect from a high quality pool cue. McDermott products use the latest technology in our state-of-the-art facility, along with the finest materials in the world. The cue has the McDermott Clover logo in the butt cap. The cue is in excellent condition, with no scratches, mark or dings in the forearm and only a few marks in the sleeve. The biggest of them is a finish blemish on the sleeve where it meets the wrap, as shown in the last picture. This is highly magnified and it is not as bad as it looks, measuring about an 1/8″ by 1/16″. The joint and rings are in great condition. The logo on the butt cap is a little faded as you can see in the pics as well. The butt and shaft roll straight, both together and apart. There are no dings in the playing area of the shaft and it is smooth as glass. The cue will need a new tip soon. The cue has an excellent feel and solid hit, very typical of the McDermott wood to wood 3/8-10 joint. Ive played with many D series cues and I think this one actually has a better feel. MCDERMOTT LIMITED EDITION P710 POOL CUE. Beautiful Pool Stick from McDermott USA. This is a McDermott Limited Edition P710 pool cue in excellent condition. The cue was made in only in 2007. This unique cue features a laminated Rosewood butt sleeve and a beautiful honey stained Birdseye Maple forearm with 4 black outlined points with inlaid laminated Rosewood. Within the laminations of the sleeve and points are chevron inlays of Ebony, Walnut, Rosewood and Maple. The angling of the inlays are what makes this a very unique cue. Please see the many pictures of the inlay, I tried to capture several sections of it, but pictures do not do it justice. The cue comes with two shafts, the original matching shaft is 12.7mm and has the matching brass ring in the collar. The second shaft has a plain black collar and measures slightly bigger at 12.8mm. Both shafts match up perfectly with the butt and were professionally faced to the butt. The 3/8-10 black nylon implex joint has thin brass rings on the shaft and butt portions. The wrap is another unique look, with tan and green speckled genuine Irish Linen wrap. It’s a fairly rare cue, not many of these around, especially in this condition.
