McDermott Billiard Cue 4 Sword Model A. Shaft Set Moori Tap Vintage Japan. This vintage McDermott billiard cue features a genuine wood construction and a birdseye maple butt, a four-sword model, and an ACSS high-tech shaft for superior playability. This is a McDermod cue that I got about 15 years ago. All taps have been replaced with Moori mediums. There are no cracks in the shaft. There are some dents as shown in the photo, but they are just cracks in the surface paint and do not affect the inside. I filed down the ACSS shaft a little too much, even scraping away the ACSS markings. Since it’s an early model, it felt a little thick, so I’m gradually thinning it down with a file. If you connect the shaft to the bat and roll it on a flat table, there will be almost no warping. (6) Weight bolt: Unknown (butt rubber defective) Cannot be adjusted. (7) Balance point: 47cm From the butt of the cue. (8) No noticeable bends or warping. (9) History of use: About 5 years. This is a straight cue from the long-established McDermott. There are some small scratches and scuffs on the butt, but no noticeable damage. The paint damage at the end is the biggest damage. The grip has been replaced with leather and is still in good condition for use. The bumper is stuck, and there are cracks and repair marks.
