MCDERMOTT LIMITED EDITION P710 POOL CUE. Beautiful Pool Stick from McDermott USA. This is a McDermott Limited Edition P710 pool cue in excellent condition. The cue was made in only in 2007. This unique cue features a laminated Rosewood butt sleeve and a beautiful honey stained Birdseye Maple forearm with 4 black outlined points with inlaid laminated Rosewood. Within the laminations of the sleeve and points are chevron inlays of Ebony, Walnut, Rosewood and Maple. The angling of the inlays are what makes this a very unique cue. Please see the many pictures of the inlay, I tried to capture several sections of it, but pictures do not do it justice. The cue comes with two shafts, the original matching shaft is 12.7mm and has the matching brass ring in the collar. The second shaft has a plain black collar and measures slightly bigger at 12.8mm. Both shafts match up perfectly with the butt and were professionally faced to the butt. The 3/8-10 black nylon implex joint has thin brass rings on the shaft and butt portions. The wrap is another unique look, with tan and green speckled genuine Irish Linen wrap. It’s a fairly rare cue, not many of these around, especially in this condition. Both shafts are very straight and the matching shaft has an ever so slight taper roll, almost imperceptible, and does not affect play at all. The butt and both shafts roll straight together and the tip does not leave the table with either shaft. Both shafts have new LePro tips and the shafts were precision faced to the butt on a professional lathe. The cue has an excellent feel and solid hit, very typical of the McDermott wood to wood 3/8-10 joint.
