MCDERMOTT EK-4 POOL CUE E SERIES. This is a McDermott EK-4 pool cue. The E Series cues were produced by McDermott USA from 1990 to 1995 and were very unique for McDermott. As far as I know, the E Series cues were the only ones McDermott made that came with a 5/16-14 piloted Stainless Steel joint. I believe this is an early EK-4 due to the green shamrock logo and D-Series style rubber bumper. The cue is made with a figured Birdseye Maple forearm with three Ebony floating split points with Mother of Pearl inlays in each and a black butt sleeve with six elongated diamonds and Mother of Pearl inlays. The wrap is white with green specks Irish Linen and is in very good condition. Three Floating Intricate Split Points. Six Floating Diamonds in White and Black Sleeve. Weight: 20.17 oz Butt: 15.96 oz Shaft: 4.21 oz. Shaft Tip Diameter: 13.3mm. Tip: Unknown Maybe a Navigator or Kamikaze. Condition: This is a nearly 30 year old cue and it is in excellent condition, there are no dings or scratches in the forearm or sleeve. The only thing I can see are a couple rust spots on the joint collar of the butt. The shaft is clean and smooth with no dents. The cue rolls straight together and apart.
