Description Offered for sale is a beautiful vintage McDermott E-F2 pool cue in very nice original condition. This classic American-made cue features a richly figured cocobolo forearm and butt sleeve, black phenolic collars with wood ringwork, and the original McDermott clover logo butt cap. The cue has recently been professionally fitted with a new black with walnut Irish linen wrap, preserving the classic appearance and feel appropriate to this vintage McDermott. Whether you’re a collector of vintage American cues or a player looking for the solid, timeless hit that made early McDermotts so popular, this is an excellent example of one of McDermott’s classic E-Series models. The original finish retains an attractive gloss, and the cocobolo displays beautiful grain and rich color throughout. The cue has clearly been well cared for and remains structurally solid with a smooth, tight-fitting joint. The cue butt has been tested with multiple shafts and rolls straight with two known-straight shafts, indicating a stable and true butt. The original shaft rolls with a very slight taper lift that is common with many vintage maple shafts of this age. When assembled with the original shaft, the cue exhibits approximately 1/16 inch of tip lift when rolled on a flat surface. The joint fits tightly with no looseness or movement.
